Letter From the Editor:

Dear Readers,

It's funny how you can find a record that tells you some information but withholds other. In today's record of the day it clearly shows who died, when and where. However it failed to highlight the why? When you pull up the actual record it's there. Lucinda Oneal "O'Neal" died of dysentery but on the actual record of death in the file it doesn't tell you that.

Also, what frustrated me was the fact that there was no mention of where she was buried. Information it did hold which I was great ful for however was whom her parents were Daniel and Matilda O'Neal. Some records of death withhold that information and it's nearly impossible to figure out who the parents were if a birth record is unavailable.

Today's edition is highlighting the loss of Lucinda O'Neal who fell asleep in death on October 1, 1886. She was considered to be my second cousin four times removed.

Sincerely,
Ray A. O'Neal

Gone but not forgotten!

Most people take note of the date of birth or the date of death. All we focus on is what took place during the dash!

Scripture of the Day:

James 1:5

"So if any one of you is lacking in wisdom, let him keep asking God, for he gives generously to all and without reproaching, and it will be given him."

Cross-refrences:

1 Kings 3:9 "So grant your servant an obedient heart to judge your people, to discern between good and bad, for who is able to judge this numerous people of yours?”

Mark 11:24 "This is why I tell you, all the things you pray and ask for, have faith that you have received them, and you will have them"

1 John 3:22 "and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we are observing his commandments and doing what is pleasing in his eyes."

Mt 7:11 "Therefore, if you, although being wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more so will your Father who is in the heavens give good things to those asking him!"

Getting the Point:

Jehovah God is like a Loving father. If you ask a human father for something will he not try to get it? Even if he can't afford it he makes a mental note and trys to get it as soon as possible. Jehovah has no budget and no restrictions. He will not withhold anything good. However, will a father grant a request to a disobedient thankless child? No! What are you asking for and more importantly do you show that you have unwavering faith that he hears, listens, and will grant you your request. Do you truly Love your God and do your actions show that?
