Scriptural thought of the Day:

It's funny we always rely on ourselves and we try to overcome whatever situation arises ultimately we sometimes reach the point where you realize you have no clue what to do or where to turn. That's the time you finally then decide to seek assistance. It's then and sometimes only then do you call the only other person you trust and if you truly feel alone in the world you might pray. Even if you are the kind a person who wonders is anyone truly listening.

I read the Bible text for today and said to myself Let's just see if the daily text has an answer for what I'm going through or what to do next?

Today's text was 1 Cor 3:7 there it reads "so that neither is the one who plants anything nor is the one who waters, but God who makes it grow".

I thought how dose that help? Well I told you I was relying on myself. He clearly was saying we can't do much. We can plant, we can water but he's the reason anything grows. So maybe you should just pray about the matter.

Unsatisfied with his answer I thought well there must be more to this let me research this a little deeper. I mean I must be able to do something. God helps those who help themselves. Is that not what everyone say?

The cross-reference of that scripture led me to read

Psalm 127:1
  • 1277 Unless Jehovah builds the house, It is in vain that its builders work hard on it. Unless Jehovah guards the city, It is in vain that the guard stays awake.
Romans 9:16
  • 16 So, then, it depends, not on a person’s desire or on his effort, but on God, who has mercy.
These scriptures reinforced his thoughts I said you can onidefuly do so much. Quit being prideful and come to me ask for help! He is merciful is he not? So I prayed!

Did anything change? Yes, I felt calmer and I cried, and I said to myself now I've done all I can do it's up to him to do the rest. So the answer is sometimes you have to just put in a little faith that it will be alright. Faith the size of a mustard seed can move a mountain. I don't own a bulldozer or a wheelbarrow.  So praying sounded easier.

Check back in on how today turned out!
