Fifth Generation 

Alvin William O'Neal

Ancestry:

I have recorded this Alvin Williams in my personal notes as a "Fifth Generation O'Neal" in the Raleigh County Files of West Virginia but he's not related to my set of O'Neals as far as I can tell thus far. I have traced his O'Neal lineage back three previous generations as follows; ( Gaston W. O'Neal, Albert O'Neal, James O'Neal, James O'Neal).

Birth Information:

Alvin William O'Neal was evidently born on August 15, 1952. I'm not positive but he was most likely born in Raleigh County, West Virginia. He was the son of Gaston W. O'Neal and Clara Adkins O'Neal. I found a record U.S. Public Records of him living in Coolridge, Raleigh County in 2008 which indicated his date of birth. It also agrees with his age at time of death.

Marriage information:

Alvin William O'Neal married A woman by the name of Rosa Unknown O'Neal. They were probably married in Raleigh County, West Virginia. They most likely divorced at some point because in his daughter's obituary her mother was mentioned as having a stepfather and yet her father was still living.

Death information:

Alvin William O'Neal died on May 14, 2017 in Raleigh County, West Virginia. He was 64 years old and was buried sometime later in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Prosperity, Raleigh County, West Virginia.

Legacy:

Alvin left quite a legacy behind in his children and grandchildren. He had two children Andrea Lynn O'Neal Aliff Stone and Greg O'Neal. His grandchildren were Aiden, and Lauren O'Neal and Clay Aliff, and Luke Stone.

Personal Observations:

I was a little disappointed to find an O'Neal living in Raleigh County, West Virginia and come to realize that he wasn't a distant relative. I had hoped that I would have found a family connection but I haven't thus far. 

It is still nice to have all the O'Neals recorded though so that future generations can see what line they originated from. 

This set of O'Neals may be related further back across the ocean if I could ever trace my O'Neal lineage back that far. Its true the name I am stuck on is a James O'Neal in my family tree and there are two James O'Neals in this lineage but the dates and the siblings do not match.

Obituary:

Alvin William O'Neal age 64 of Beckley, WV passed away on Sunday May 14, 2017.

He was preceded in death by parents, Gaston and Clara Adkins O'Neal, and a daughter Andrea Stone.

Alvin is survived by son, Greg O'Neal and wife Misty, grandchildren, Aiden O'Neal, Lauren O'Neal, Clay Aliff, and Luke Stone; brothers, Sonny, Jerry, and Jeff O'Neal, and sisters, Carol Baldwin and Darlene O'Neal.

Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Wednesday May 17, 2017 at 11AM with Pastor John Hart officiating. 

Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV. 

Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Carl Dean "Dolly Parton's husband "

I'm kinda new to the Country Music scene. I have written a few songs and I'm trying to get them demo ready. I'm hoping to promote  them to some big city Nashville executives" soon but honestly I could care less who buys them or records them as long as I get paid.
