Bible Verse of the Day:

"But even if you did marry, you would commit no sin. And if a virgin married, such a person would commit no sin. However, those who do will have tribulation in their flesh. But I am trying to spare you."

Getting the Point:

What tribulation was Paul referring to? It is hard to say. He was making the point that it's hard enough as it is so not to take on more responsibility of a mate if you are able to go it alone. There will no doubt be struggles in singleness and in marriage but if you are married you have children or a lack of children, you have sickness and death, you have in-laws to deal with. You have more to worry about and your love will be decided. He was offering his opinion on should a Christian marry. Jehovah God felt it necessary to have those words preserved in his word for a reason.

Letter From The Editor:

Dear Reader,

This edition was supposed to have been posted prior to this. I keep missing my deadline. I have been trying to research my great aunt and uncle Mary O'Neal Davis and Aaron Monroe Davis. I noticed that her headstone didn't have her date of death recorded on it. So I have been trying to find her date of death. I didn't even know if they had children.

I called my grandma to try and pick her brain yesterday but she couldn't remember anything. I believe that Aaron had been married previously and his first wife had died. They had several children. I have been able to determine that possibly Mary and Aaron also may have had children together also. I'm still researching this line. If you are related to this Aaron Monroe Davis from Barker's Ridge, West Virginia I'd love to see your research.

Sincerely,
Ray O'NEAL
